Erosion Control Foreman

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Lead 2–6 crew members on erosion control projects
  • Interpret and execute project plans, SWPPP requirements, and client instructions
  • Coordinate daily tasks including:
    • Hydroseeding
    • Straw blowing
    • Silt fence installation
    • Matting
    • Sod Installation
  • Operate and manage equipment such as straw blowers, hydroseeders, and tractors
  • Load materials, set up equipment, and transport tools to/from jobsites
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal team
  • Track job progress and report to management
  • Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on every site
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in construction, landscaping, or erosion control
  • Prior crew lead or foreman experience strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Comfortable operating heavy equipment and trailers
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor outdoors
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to read site plans and SWPPP documentation a plus
  • Must be organized, punctual, and professional
Work Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday, report by 6:30 AM to shop in Marion, IA
  • Occasional weekend/overtime work based on project deadlines
  • Seasonal work with potential for winter layoff
